As a young man he fought with the Haganah. He also served in both the British and American military during World War II. Kadish graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. When he retired in January 1990, Kadish was a supervisory engineer in the Fuze Division of the Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center.
